How to hide wireless password in Windows 7,8,8.1,10

open registry editor
Windows key + R then type regedit

go to edit >> select find>>

type in appid

click search

Now we will be on “appid”

Expand app id. there will be a lot of appids listed.

scroll down to find the following one.

86F80216-5DD6-4F43-953B-35EF40A35AEE

AND CHANGE PERMISSIONS.

right click on appid. click permissions. go to advanced.

select ownership tab. select administrator.
tick take ownership.

click apply.

open users tab/ first tab.

remove all users except SYSTEM.

now you are all set.

if someone open wireless properties. he will not be able to read the password.
